Alessandro Costantini, Interim Associate Artistic Director

Alessandro is the founder and Artistic Director of YES Theatre in Sudbury, ON, currently celebrating its 10 year anniversary. His work with youth in the arts has seen him become a key player in the development of Arts and Culture in Northern Ontario. Alessandro was nominated for the John Hirsch Directors Award in 2014 and the K.M Hunter award in 2017, both from the Ontario Arts Council. He was the RBC Apprentice Director for the Musical Stage Company in 2018 and most recently directed the Canadian Premiere of Jeanine Tesori’s Violet. As an actor, select credits include: World Premiere of PROM QUEEN [Segal Centre- Montreal English Theatre Award- Outstanding Lead Performance nomination], James and the Giant Peach [YPT], Lost In Yonkers [HGJT], Faust [TBTB], Hair, Rent, Spring Awakening, Merrily We Roll Along [YES Theatre]. Alessandro is a graduate of the George Brown Theatre School.
