Sharron Matthews, the “Canadian Goddess of Cabaret” (Scotsman Newspaper), is bringing her new show Girl Crush to Toronto! Aptly described as the love child of Jack Black and Bette Midler and known across the internet as “Joan the Secretary” from Tina Fey’s Mean Girls, Sharron is taking over the High Park Amphitheatre with her exhilarating cabaret for one night only.

Girl Crush is an inspiring, moving and hysterical musical journey that weaves Sharron’s singular re-imaginings of the diverse music of artists such as Kim Carnes, The Police, Blondie, Rick Springfield, Beyonce and Cyndi Lauper into tales of heartbreak, obsession, awe and love. Don’t miss your chance to hear an incomparable artist at the top of her game under the stars.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the running time of the show? 1 hour

Is there an intermission? No

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance? If the performance isn’t sold out, there will be tickets for sale at the Box Office before the curtain. However, we highly suggest purchasing tickets beforehand to avoid disappointment.

What if it rains?

In the case of inclement weather, the performance may be cancelled with 36 hours notice. The performance may also be relocated to an appropriate venue with notice. In the event of cancellation, a refund will be issued.

I don’t want to sit on the ground – can I bring a lawn chair?

To make sure everyone gets a good view of the show, lawn chairs aren’t allowed in the regular seating area on the hill. We do have a limited number of spots at the rear of the hill that are available exclusively for lawn chairs on a first-come, first-served basis.

Is there an accessible seating area?

One of our friendly park volunteers will be happy to show you to our accessible section on site. Patrons using wheelchairs can call the box office at 416.368.3110 to reserve a seat in advance.

Can I bring my adorable dog/cat/lizard?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the High Park Amphitheatre, with the exception of service animals.

Can I bring my own food?

Totally. In fact, people competing for the most awesome picnic spread is half the reason to show up. We also have a concession stand on site stacked with yummy snacks and beverages for purchase. We recommend bringing your own water bottle as there are no fountains on site.

Can I bring a bottle of wine with my picnic?

Due to City of Toronto Parks regulations, alcohol is not permitted in High Park. Sorry.

What is the ticket refund/exchange policy? There are no refunds or exchanges.
