About the Production:

Bandstand is an original musical composed by Richard Oberacker with book and lyrics by Oberacker and Robert Taylor. It tells the story of a group of veterans returning home to the United States after World War II. Struggling to fit into their old lives while dealing with the lingering effects of the war – including post-traumatic stress and survivor’s guilt – they form a band composed solely of veterans to compete in a national patriotic radio contest in New York City. The winning song will be performed in a new Hollywood by the band, which will make them household names. This group of veterans play their hearts out while also providing post-war America a look into the effects the Second World War had on America’s heroes. Click here to learn more.

About the Production:

Back when life was simple – if life was ever simple – people wrote letters. In the small town of Lovely, Ontario, every letter passes through the hands of postmistress Marie-Louise Painchaud. Cheeky and cheerful, Marie-Louise delights in living vicariously through the stories shared in letters mailed from all over the world. Featuring piano and saxophone, the musical stylings evoke these faraway places – samba, bossa nova, tango, Dixieland and Berlin Cabaret rap. Uplifting, funny and poignant, this one-woman musical by Tomson Highway (Dry Lips Oughta Move to Kapuskasing, The Rez Sisters) reminds us that in life, you should never mail it in. About the Production:

A dark, funny, verbatim musical about the internet: Those who own it; those who live in it; and you. Written and performed by Francesca Forristal & Jordan Paul Clarke, this high-adrenaline, electronic thrill ride, conceived specially for multi-camera streaming, is made entirely from the words of YouTube vloggers, Instagram influencers, Facebook’s tech giants, and everyday internet users. It’s like ‘Black Mirror’ but real, and set to music. Click here to learn more.
