COVID-19: AN UPDATE FROM THE MUSICAL STAGE COMPANY

We have not come to this decision lightly, but in this time of uncertainty, we feel it is necessary to ensure the health of our community and the stability of our organization. We know that when this is over, people will need powerful stories told through song more than ever. And we will be there to tell them.

Mitchell Marcus, Artistic & Managing Director of The Musical Stage Company

With recent developments related to the worldwide Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we at The Musical Stage Company take the health and wellbeing of our community very seriously. As such, we have made the difficult decision to postpone all activities that bring staff, artists or audiences together until May 31, 2020. Unfortunately, and with heavy hearts, this means the world premiere production of KELLY v. KELLY must be postponed until further notice.

We want to assure you that our work continues. We remain committed to developing new work, supporting artists and encouraging growth and change through musical theatre even while we cannot gather together in person. We are finding creative solutions to continue the development of new musicals and our educational programs throughout the coming months and are committed to seeing through all activities that have to be postponed during this time. We look forward to sharing the next steps on each project with you when they become available.
