Rohan Dhupar (he/him)

Rohan is a theatremaker specializing in musical theatre and new work development. A proud Sheridan College musical theatre graduate, he also holds an MFA from Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London and an arts management diploma from Queen’s University. His work is rooted in a spirit of curiosity and equity, embedding principles of inclusion and community care in the creative process. Rohan is dedicated to integrating homegrown voices and global practices to elevate Canadian musical theatre and help local stories achieve a broader reach.

Rohan produced several pandemic-era projects with aims of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, including an adaptation of Venus & Adonis for Toronto Fringe. As a director/choreographer, Rohan has been mentored by industry leaders including Tracey Flye, Kimberley Rampersad and Susan Stroman. Recent credits include Grow (Segal Centre), Narnia (Bad Hats/Soulpepper/Crow’s; Dora Award win), The Red Shoes (RSC), Company (TIFT), and Little Dancer (West End concert). He is also the Associate Choreographer for the annual Gander production of Come From Away. 

After first connecting with Musical Stage as a student in the One Song Glory program way back in 2010, he is thrilled to be joining the team in this new capacity.
