Cassandra Di Felice on Ways to Support Beyond a Donation

Tis the season to tip our hats, remind ourselves of what we can be thankful for, and show our appreciation for others in different ways! To our donors, audiences, and artists – what would we do without you? This week we sat down with Development Associate, Cassandra Di Felice, to discuss different ways we can help support, that aren’t JUST making a financial donation.

Making a donation means investing in your community and knowing that the return on that investment will be felt by countless individuals. Whether you’re donating time, money, expertise, or in any way most meaningful to you, your support of The Musical Stage Company creates lasting, meaningful impacts on artists, and helps shape the future of Canadian musical theatre. There are so many ways to give, so we’re highlighting how you can show your support this holiday season – or any time of year!

Buying a Ticket

We love making theatre for you! Buying a ticket is the easiest way to show your support of The Musical Stage Company. If you love the show, make sure you tell everyone you know; word of mouth is the best way to show your love and help us sell tickets. To buy tickets for UnCovered: The Music of Dolly Parton, click here, or you can reach out to our Ticketing Team at!

Join a community of like-minded individuals by volunteering with us! Whether it’s being a welcoming face at Koerner Hall, helping folks to their seats at the High Park Amphitheatre, or passing out programmes at The Winter Garden Theatre; volunteers make productions possible! To learn more about volunteering, you can reach out to our Marketing Associate, Cameron Vindua, at or at (416) 927-7880 ext. 236.

Make a Financial Contribution

Did you know that ticket sales only cover half the costs of a production? We rely on our community to help make great theatre happen. Donations help finance the things you don’t see onstage like artist fees, student ticket subsidies, our educational programs, and playwright bursaries. Remember that many workplaces offer matching programs that will double your donation to your favourite charity. You can make a donation online here, or for assistance making your gift or to discuss personalized giving options, you can reach out to Development Associate, Cassandra Di Felice (that’s me!), at cassandradifelice@musicalstageon or at (416) 927-7880 ext. 233.

Shares & Securities

Did you know that we accept shares as a donation? It can be a great option for your financial portfolio! For more information on donating shares and securities, you can reach out to our Executive Director, Advancement; Kate Supleve, at katesupleve@musicalstagecompany.Com or at (416) 927-7880 ext 224.

Donate your birthday

Have everything you need on your birthday? Make your special day even more special by asking for donations in support of The Musical Stage Company. We can customize your birthday campaign to make it most meaningful to you. For more information, you can reach out to Development Associate, Cassandra Di Felice (that’s me!), at or at (416) 927-7880 ext. 233.

Share the power of musical storytelling

We all know it’s better with music – and there are so many ways that you can share the power of music with your loved ones. Hosting a dinner? Include a song that reminds you of each guest at their place setting or create a playlist with all of your guest’s favourite songs to play throughout the evening. Need some inspiration? Thank you so much for making such an extraordinary year possible. We couldn’t do any of it without you. We are wishing you a very safe and happy holiday, from all of us here at The Musical Stage Company!
